Kelburn Coutyard Renovation
The existing rear courtyard of a substantial residence in Kelburn, required structural work to retain a serious ground slip that could potentially threaten the back of the house.
This was seen by the owners, as an opportunity to improve the back yard area into an entertaining and relaxing courtyard.
One old workshop shed was removed, and the quaint 1910 workshop was fully rebuilt with internal layout improvements. The substantial concrete block retaining wall, required to contain the slip, was enhanced and softened with an outdoor fire trimmed with recycled bricks, and stepped retaining walls containing a planted water feature. Built by Scotty's Construction.
The result provides a wonderful sheltered outdoor entertaining area which has become an asset to the property.
